Why Choose Natural Granite?

Granite remains one of the most sought-after materials for premium kitchens, and it is easy to see why. It offers a rare combination of visual impact and extreme resilience:

  • 100% Unique: Because it is a natural stone, no two countertops will ever have the exact same veining, crystalline structure, or colour variations. Your kitchen will be truly one of a kind.

  • Exceptional Heat Resistance: Granite can easily withstand high temperatures. While we always recommend trivets, a hot pan placed briefly on the surface will not melt or blister the stone.

  • Scratch & Stain Resistant: When properly sealed, granite provides a highly robust surface that resists daily scratches from knives and repels liquid spills.

  • Bespoke Detailing: Natural stone allows for luxurious finishing touches, such as polished under-mount sink cut-outs and custom-carved drainer grooves.

Frequently asked questions

Yes! Because granite is a natural stone mined from the earth, the mineral patterns, veining, and colour tones vary from slab to slab. The worktop installed in your kitchen will be entirely unique to your home.

Not at all. For daily cleaning, simply use warm water and a mild, non-acidic soap. We apply a professional-grade sealant upon installation, and to keep it completely stain-resistant, it generally only needs a quick resealing application once a year or every two years.

Granite is highly scratch-resistant and tougher than most knife blades. However, cutting directly on the stone will quickly dull your expensive knives, so we always recommend using a chopping board.

Granite is completely solid and waterproof throughout, making it the perfect material for under-mount sinks (like Belfast or modern stainless steel bowls). We polish the inner cut-out edges to a smooth finish for a highly luxurious look.

Depending on the size of your kitchen, joints may be necessary. Our stonemasons carefully plan the layout to minimise seams, colour-match the joining epoxy, and ensure the joint is as tight, smooth, and inconspicuous as possible.
